Bakersfield is the focus of an upcoming documentary from the great Ken Burns!
Burns will discuss the history of country music in Bakersfield during an eight part, 16 hour PBS documentary series, named "Country Music." The series will begin airing September 15th on PBS. The documentary will celebrate the "Bakersfield Sound."
