Happy "Fat Tuesday" everybody! 

I've often wondered why Fat Tuesday, or "Mardi Gras" isn't that big of a holiday here. Bakersfield loves to get it's drink on (responsibly of course) and Cinco De Mayo is big here. St. Patrick's Day is big here. New Years is big here. Super Bo- uh, I mean Big Game Sunday is big here. 

Why not Fat Tuesday? 

Most likely because it's on a Tuesday.

But Cinco De Mayo and St. Patrick's Day don't always fall on a weekend, so why no love for Mardi Gras.

It seems to have everything a Bakersfieldian could want - drinking, the possibility of bare breasts! Beads! I mean, come on!

I love Fat Tuesday! Although I'll most likely be celebrating at home. I know I know, the pot calling the kettle black.

But when it comes to drinks, beads, and bare breasts, EVERYDAY is Fat Tuesday at the Bell Family Compound!
