Eight. Sacks. In the first half. Nine total.
Lost in all the hoopla over the hail Mary play at the end of the game is the fact that Mr. MVP Aaron Rogers (who is apparently a really lousy tipper, but that's another story) was sacked eight times in the first half.
This (and probably a good talkin' to by coach at halftime) fired up the Pack enough to virtually shut Seattle down in the third and fourth quarters.
Still Seattle held Green Bay to 13.
And then came "The Touchception." One Zebra indicated touchdown, the other (who was nowhere near the play) signaled interception. Then he changed his mind. Then it went to the review. Touchdown Seattle!
And this morning the NFL backed up that call. What else were they gonna do? Admit that they need to get to the bargaining table with the Official's union ASAP?
And what if it HAD been the regular officials that made that call last night? Where would we be?
The simple truth is Seattle gets no respect. Never have, never will. We're a joke to the rest of the NFL and to the rest of NFL fans. Even when we sack Aaron Rogers over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
So you know what? It's a win.
We'll take it.
