I don't know if you watched the opening ceremonies for the London Olympic Games on Friday Night. If you were lucky (which I was not) you were able to watch them via the BBC, which presented them they way they were meant to be seen - with no commercials and NO mindless commentary from the...uh...commentators! 

On NBC, you had to put up with the mindless nattering of these two...

They yammered on and on, explaining things that were totally obvious. 

I took to Facebook immediately afterwards to see what some of my more enlightened brethren had to say about the opening ceremonies. From what I read, you'd swear that we didn't so much win the revolutionary war as the British just got tired of our shite! People were complaining about the amount of "British-ness" on display. 

It's the 2012 LONDON Olympic games!
