Don't miss the 19th annual Police Activities League Battle of the Badges tomorrow night at a new location at the Bakersfield College Gym.

I'll be the House DJ cranking out the tunes in between bouts as members from the Bakersfeild Police Department, Kern County Sherrif, Bakersfield Fire Department, Kern County Corrections and the U.S. Army duke it out to raise money to help underpriviledged kids here in Kern County.

Tickets are available at both B.P.D. stations downtown and the West Side Substations, the Bakersfield P.A.L. office, Mr. Tuxedo or at the door.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $40 for reserved ringside seats.

Doors open at 5:30p and bouts start at 7 pm.

It's presented by Budweiser so there will be plenty of cold brews on tap.

If you missed Styx recently when they were here in Bako at the Fox Theater or if you want to re-live that awesome show you're in luck.

The new double live album from Styx, "The Grand Illusion/Pieces Of Eight Live" was just released yesterday.

The recording was captured during Styx's performance at the Orpheum Theater in Memphis on November 9, 2010 where they performed both albums in full.

The same concert was also released on DVD and Blu-Ray last January.

When Bill Clinton was President he was known in political insider circles as "Slick Willie" becuase of his ability to broker major political deals uniting Republicans and Democrats alike on the same issue.

He also used this diplomatic skill to intercede and negoiate with foreign governments, both hostile and friendly, on a wide range of issues.

But there remains one deal that Slick Willie couldn't pull off.

It was a diplomatic failure at the highest level: he couldn't get Led Zeppelin to reunite!

Recently a CBS 60 Minutes webcast reported that the former president and international diplomat was enlisted to ask Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones to get back together last year for the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert in New York City.

David Saltzman of the Robin Hood Foundation that organized the concert says he and film executive Harvey Weinstein flew to Washington to ask Clinton to make the plea.

Led Zep's surviving members, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page, were in Washington just before the Sandy concert for the Kennedy Center Honors, so the timing seemed perfect.

Apparently Jimmy and John Paul were interested but Robert Plant?
