So to celebrate the legendary Godfathers of Heavy Metal a new Deep Purple Box Set is out now.
According to Rhino Records, the new 10 CD box set is called "Deep Purple: The Complete Albums 1970-1976."
For the first time ever, this collection includes all of the essential albums spanning the various versions of Deep Purple.
It starts with the original line up of Deep Purple Mark II that featured Ian Gillian, Ritchie Blackmore , Jon Lord, Ian Paice and Roger Glover.
Then the next line up of Deep Purple Mark III that featured Glen Hughes, David Coverdale, along with Blackmore, Paice and Lord.
Then it finishes up with the next line up of Deep Purple Mark IV that featured Blackmore's replacement Tommy Bolin with Lord, Paice, Hughes and Coverdale.
