A few years ago it seemed like that Van Halen would never tour again with thier original lead singer David Lee Roth.
But after the acrimonious exit of former lead singer Sammy Hagar and long time bassist Michael Anthony, somehow Diamond Dave was welcomed back into the band by none other than Eddie Van Halen himself.
So after many starts and stops and much rehearsing and retooling and the replacement of Michael with Eddie's kid Wolfgang, Van Halen staged a successful North American tour and finished it off with a short run in Japan.
Eddie said he wanted some time off but apparently they will regroup for the only scheduled show for this year in the country.
Tonight at the Cal Mid State Fair in Paso Robles, Van Halen will rock out like it's 1978 (or at least try to.)
If you're feeling lucky, you might be able to head on down to Paso and snag a left over ticket at the box office or find a desperate scalper that can hook you up.
Check it out while you can. This could be your last chance in quite a while.
