The late Levon Helm, the heart and drumbeat of The Band, will finally be able to tell his own story with the fly on the wall documentary, "Ain't In It For My Health."
Shot by director Jacob Hatley, it brings you right along side Levon in 2007, as he embarks on a five week, five nights a week tour for his Grammy winning comeback album "Dirt Farmer."
Over the course of more than two years of shooting, the film catches all the joy and pain of one of rock's most interesting and talented figures that got his big time start as the drummer for Bob Dylan.
The film premiers at Cinema Village in New York City on April 19, the one year anniversary of Levon's death from throat cancer.
As he used to sing in The Band: "Oh lord...the shape I'm in..."
