Once upon a time, I was a very sick deejay...lying in a hospital bed fighting to stay alive. That was 2008. When I started on the road to recovery, I found out that the radio station that I competed against (KUZZ), had organized a fundraiser concert to help with medical expenses. I was released from the hospital the day of the concert and was able to be there to see Randy Owen from Alabama singing for me. My family and I will be forever grateful to my friends at KUZZ for that gesture. Now time to pay it forward.
Niki Reyes has been on the radio over at Kelly 95.3 for the last several years. She's bright, funny, and a great person. This past fall, she found out she had breast cancer. She's undergoing her treatment as we speak...and she's been in our prayers here since she went public.
Coming up on February 22nd, a bunch of local comedians, including her co-host Danny Hill will be putting on a Comedy show to help Niki with her medical expenses. Every little bit helps...trust me! Details below. I'm going to be there. You should too!
